The Danish head of NATO's training centre in Poland warned Denmark's Chief of Defence early against bowing to American demands to remove Assistant Chief of Staff Rear-Admiral Torben Ørting Jørgensen from his post at NATO Headquarters in Norfolk, Virginia.

According to Berlingske Tidende, Major General Agner Rokos wrote an e-mail to Defence Chief Admiral Tim Sloth Jørgensen in October when four-star U.S. General James Mattis expelled Rear Admiral Jørgensen from NATO Headquarters, reportedly for insubordination.
