The Danish charter business is facing a difficult 2009 after a record 2008, with forecasts suggesting a sharp drop in business. Although the larger companies such as Star Tour and Spies seem well-prepared for a drop of up to 200,000 passengers, others may be facing closure, according to Børsen.
2008 saw 1.4 million Danes take charter vacations - slightly up on 2007 - but forecasts suggest 2009 will drop to 1.2 million.
