Thorning-Schmidt has launched strong criticism at Danske Bank, Nordea and other banks saying they demonstrate “intolerable arrogance” when they consistently deny that they need government capital in the form of a bank package of close to DKK 100 billion.
“My message to the banks is: Well, then you can’t have it. Instead we will establish a state company that lends money directly to businesses,” she says in today’s Jyllands-Posten,
