Nurses at Rigshospialet are removing surnames from their name tags after feeling threatened by friends of patients who have been admitted as a result of ongoing gang warfare in Copenhagen.

“Many receive threats such as ‘I’ll be waiting for you when you go home’, ‘I know who you are’ and We’ll get your family’. These are unpleasant and completely unacceptable,” says Lonnie Rasmussen, Chief Shop Steward for 3,200 nurses at Rigshospitalet.
