One apparent effect of the financial crisis appears to be a major drop in the amount of truck traffic between east and west Denmark.

New figures from the A/S Storebælt company, which runs the Great Belt Bridge connecting the capital island Zealand with Funen, show a drop of 12.7 percent in truck traffic over the past year.
