Nordea appears to have come relatively unscathed out of 2008, returning a pre-tax profit of almost EUR 3.4 billion or around DKK 25 billion. The result was a drop of 13 percent compared with 2007.
Loans on downside Revenues rose four percent to EUR 8.2 billion, a one percent increase before write-downs.
