The Scandinavian Airlines System is closing routes as a result of its dismal 2008 accounts, which showed a deficit of DKK 4.4 billion.

Latest to go, among other reasons as a result of the grounding of two Airbus A340 long-range aircraft, are routes and departures from Copenhagen to New Delhi, Beijing and Seattle as well as the Stockholm-Beijing route, according to Travelbroker.
