Carlsberg feels recession

Despite the fact that people still drink a lot of beer in a period of crisis, the beer market is not immune to the recession.

Carlsberg, the world’s fifth largest brewery group, has reported a DKK 1.2 billion loss before tax for the 4th quarter of 2008 although for all of 2008 Carlsberg reported a pre-tax profit of DKK 2.8 billion from revenues of DKK 59.9 billion.
