Denmark’s Defence Minister Søren Gade says he is happy that the United States has decided to send extra troops to southern Afghanistan where Danish troops are currently on operations in Helmand Province.

“As Danish defence minister I am naturally delighted,” Gade says in an interview with Ritzau. He says the American move to send more troops to Afghanistan will not be followed by Denmark, which is one of the countries currently providing most forces per capita to ISAF.
