As the government prepares to publish its tax reform proposals, new calculations from the Danish Trade Union Federation (LO) suggest that some 1.7 million Danes will be DKK 5,000 per year worse off if the distribution of wealth profile from the Tax Commission is adopted, according to Berlingske Tidende.
“The politicians risk a lopsided result. Almost half of our members will end up with some level of minus – in particular the lowest paid check-out, daycare and cleaning staff,” says LO Chairman Harald Børsting.
