The Danish People’s Party, which is the minority government’s parliamentary safety net, has publicly decided to support an opposition plan to stem the negative social inheritance of immigrant children and to further integration in Denmark.

“We don’t want parallel societies in Denmark so we will have to go further than we have done up to now. We agree with the Social Democrats that some dramatic methods are necessary if integration is to succeed,” says DPP Leader Pia Kjærsgaard.
