It seems unlikely that the Social Democrats and the Socialist People’s Party are going to be party to the government’s tax reform proposal that was announced yesterday. After a short meeting in the Finance Ministry, the leaders of the two parties left the negotiations.
The Social Democratic Leader Helle Thorning-Schmidt and the Socialist People’s Party Leader Villy Søvndal said after leaving the negotiations that the government had placed preconditions on the negotiations which had applied the brakes on further discussions.
