Thousands of Danish companies are close to bankruptcy, with the number of companies showing unhealthy finances having increased by 30 percent over the past year, according to new figures from the credit and analysis company Experian.

"This is a very worrying development. We haven’t seen such a major increase and so many ailing companies for many years. We haven't seen the last of this crisis yet," says Experian Communications Head Camilla Rose.
