Justice Minister Brian Mikkelsen wants to introduce three new initiatives to put gang members in prison immediately rather than letting them stay in society as they wait to serve sentences.
Among other initiatives, Mikkelsen wants to introduce immediate remand following a guilty verdict, irrespective of whether the crime concerned has had anything to do with gang crime.
