Parents can no longer be sure that their children are being taught by trained teachers and will have to get used to the fact, according to the teachers association.
Some 25 percent – or 2,578 full-time positions - of newly-employed teachers this year are untrained educators, with the trained teacher shortage having increased some 20 percent on the previous year, according to the Teachers’ Associaition.
