The Danish central bank Nationalbank has reduced the lending rate and the rate of interest on certificates of deposit by 0.35 per cent to 1.65 per cent. The discount rate and the current account rate was also reduced by 0.35 per cent to 1.40 per cent, according to a news release.
Nationalbanken said the reduction was a consequence of the European Central Bank's lowering of the interest by 0.25 percent to one percent earlier in the day.
