Social Democratic MEP candidate Christel Schaldemose is suggesting that national MPs should be sent on training courses to the European Parliament, which she maintains they know very little about.
“The EU election campaign has clearly shown that quite a few MPs simply don’t have enough knowledge about what is going on in the EU. There’s something wrong there, and they should be sent on a mandatory study tour to Brussels,” says Schaldemose.
