Denmark’s wind industry had a record year in 2008, with a EUR 5.7 billion export and a total of 28,400 employees, according to the Danish Wind Industry Association’s annual statistics.
“2008 was again a record year for the wind industry and it is now among the biggest export industries in Denmark,” the association says in a news release but adds that 2009 looks ‘bleak’ as a result of the global financial crisis.
