The latest statistics from Statistics Denmark show seasonally adjusted unemployment continuing to rise apace with a further 10,600 joining the jobless queue in April, giving a total of 92,800 unemployed or 3.3 percent of the labour force.

The figures show a doubling of the figures since the lowest recorded unemployment in June 2008, when the figures showed 46,600 jobless, and the seventh month in a row that unemployment has increased.
