The Greenland electorate goes to the polls today in early general elections as the territory prepares to introduce full self-rule on June 21.

The election was called by incumbent Prime Minister Hans Enoksen of the Social Democratic Siumut Party in order to allow voters to elect the administration that will lead Greenland into what he termed ‘the new era’.
