Greenland’s centre-left Inuit Ataqadigiit (IA) party, which won a landslide victory in Greenland's recent general elections, has reached agreement with the Democrat and Kattusseqatigit parties on the formation of a new majority government for the world’s largest island.
The new government, which will command 19 of Parliament’s 31 seats, includes neither the Social Democratic Siumut Party nor the liberal Atassut Party – both of whom were in coalition up to the elections.
