Exit poll: Royal succession change now likely

The final couple of hours of voting in Denmark’s referendum on royal succession seem to have provided a big enough turnout, and enough ‘yes’ votes to pass an amendment to the laws on royal succession.

The amendment to the law will allow the monarch’s first born of either gender to ascend the throne, but in order for the amendment to pass, 40 percent of the entire electorate had to vote in favour.
