The chairman of the European Socialists (PES), former Danish Prime Minister Poul Nyrup Rasmussen has called on voters in European elections this week to help remove Commission President Jose Manuel Barrroso from his post.
“The European Parliament is part of the decision-making process to choose the next Commission President. If there is a new majority in parliament, then Barroso will not be president,” Nyrup says in a ‘Calling all voters’ article in the EuropeanVoice.
