The prosecutor in the case against Stein Bagger has argued that the fraud case against the former CEO of the now defunct IT Factory should result in a sentence of between eight and 12 years in prison.
Prosecutor Per Justesen argued that Bagger’s fraud should be judged under a special paragraph in criminal law which enables magistrates to add 50 percent to a sentence. Sentences of more than seven years have not been handed down previously in Denmark in cases of major economic crime.
