Although Iran’s Guardian Council has ordered a re-count of Iran’s contested presidential election, the election result was a carefully-designed plot by Ahmedinejad and the Revolutionary Guard to take over the country, senior Iranian sources tell Politiken’s Vibeke Sperling.
“It is difficult to say which revolution is greatest in Iran at the moment. Senior Iranian commentators are saying this morning that a military coup is under way,” says Sperling, Politiken’s Reporter and Commentator on International Affairs, who covered the Iranian presidential elections for Politiken and who returned to Denmark from Teheran Monday.
