Danish doctors must work more

The Deputy Director of Hvidovre Hospital Torben Mogensen wants to increase the working hours of younger Danish specialist doctors who, he says cannot compete with their colleagues from Britain and the United States.

Danish doctors under training work 37 hours per week, and the result, Mogensen says, is doctors with broad theoretical knowledge, but a lack of routine.
