The latest figures from Statistics Denmark show the number of people seeking asylum in Denmark continues to rise.
The first quarter of the year saw 928 asylum-seekers, with the largest number from Afghanistan (219) and Iraq (128). Compared to the 2008 quarterly average of 602, the increase in numbers is at 54 percent.
