Retired people in old people’s homes and centres are increasingly making out their wills in favour of other occupants at the homes – but on the condition that the funds are used on parties, good food and other extra benefits.
The Spurvegården Home in the Copenhagen suburb of Hvidovre, for example, received DKK 740,000 last year from one of its older occupants – but on the condition that the money should be used on banquets for the elderly at the home.
