The Danish woman racing cyclist Jette Fuglsang, 31, has died in an accident during a downhill ride while on vacation with her husband in France. Fuglsang died as she drove down a mountain with her husband and teammates in the French Alps near L’Alpe d’Huez, one of Tour de France stage finishing lines.

Auto camper “Jette, her husband and the other riders as well as coaches and managers were on their way downhill when Jette drove directly into an auto camper that was heading uphill,” Fredericia Cycle ClubChairman Michael Guldborg told politiken.dk.
