Fidelis earns 68 quadrillion (68,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) a month as a investment banker. So the 28-year-old Zimbabwean tries to bolster his income in his spare time washing cars. "When I withdraw my salary, I get banknotes of 500 trillion Zimbabwean dollars," says Fidelis, running a wet sponge over a green Nissan at a car hire company in Harare. "But no one accepts Zim-dollars anymore." Washing cars brings the university educated Fidelis a few American dollars a day. "I'm leaving soon for South Africa to look for work," he says. "I have to take care of my wife and six-month old son."
