A chief cardiac physician in Northern Jutland has been diagnosed with H1N1 influenza as the first hospital worker in Denmark to have been known to contract the illness.
All patients, relatives and employees at the Sygehus Vendsyssel hospital in Frederikshavn who have visited the cardiac outpatients clinic or medicinal department last Monday or Tuesday have been advised they should be aware of symptoms, that should be apparent by today (July 28). Symptoms of H1N1 show themselves at the latest a week after a person has been exposed to infection.
