The Danish central bank Nationalbanken is releasing a new DKK 50 note next Tuesday which is more difficult to forge.
"We don’t have too many problems with forged notes at the moment but on the other hand we want to be a step ahead of the forgers. If there is any doubt about a note then people won’t accept it, and that affects the entire payment system,” says Nationalbanken Governor Nils Bernstein.
