Camilla Broe, 42, whom U.S. authorities allege was involved in a drugs smuggling case in the 1990s, has been denied appeal to the Danish Supreme Court, opening the road for her extradition. Broe’s counsel says she risks a 60-year prison sentence.
Broe sought appeal to the Supreme Court after the Eastern High Court in Lyngby near Copenhagen overturned a lower court decision declining a U.S. extradition request in the case, which involves charges of alleged complicity in an Ecstasy-smuggling operation to Florida in the 1990s.
