Dog pounds across Denmark are reporting an increasing number of fighting dog owners looking to be rid of their muscle-bound pets following a series of highly-publicised attacks in recent months.
“People have begun panicking after the attacks and publicity. People with fighting dogs are not well.-received in neighbourhoods and people say they want to get rid of their dogs before they are forced to leave town. There are also those who have to get rid of their dogs because their housing association no longer permits fighting dogs,” Årslev Kennel Owner John Thiel Madsen tells Jydske Vestkysten.
