The Danish population has increased by 84,784 over the past three years, bringing figures for the total population to 5,519,441, according to Statistics Denmark in its latest population survey.
According to the figures, the first quarter of 2009 saw 15,833 births and 13,048 deaths – both of which are two percent lower than the same quarter in 2008.
