Danish companies are queuing up with applications to the Data Protection Agency to be allowed to introduce whistleblowing systems in which employees can confidentially report suspicions of corruption, fraud, theft and harassment.

The systems are designed to catch executives, middle-rank managers and employees whose actions can cost companies money and bad press, and permission is necessary as such systems involve sensitive personal information about individuals.
