All production at the Dong Energy Siri Platform in the North Sea has been temporarily stopped after a routine annual underwater inspection showed up cracks in a caisson that connects pipes to the main storage tank.

“As we don’t know the precise extent of the damage, we have chosen to shut down production,” says Dong Energy Press Spokesman Ulrik Frøhlke.
