The latest figures from Statistics Denmark show a marginal rise in prices of 1.1 percent in August compared with the same month last year and compared with an increase of 1 percent in July.
Clothing and shoes rose most at 6.1 percent as a result of the end of the summer sales, while transport rose 0.9 percent as a result of rising fuel prices. Leisure and cultural activities dropped 1.6 percent, primarily as a result of falling charter travel prices.
