The Danish central bank has issued a new and gloomier unemployment forecast compared to its March estimates, forecasting 163,000 out of work in 2010 and 178,000 jobless in 2011. The corresponding figures in its March quarterly forecast were 140,000 and 151,000.
Nationalbanken also says that year-on-year GDP in 2009 will be at minus 3.2 percent compared to minus 1.2 in 2008, but with 2010 showing plus 0.9 percent in 2010 and plus 1.7 percent in 2011.
