A freighter from Denmark’s Norden shipping company has saved 13 sailors off the German container vessel Pacific that suddenly sank off the coast of Gabon, according to maritimedanmark.dk
The Nord Explorer was the first vessel that arrived on the scene after the German Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre had issued a call to all vessels in the area to make for the sinking Cypriot-flagged ship which was some 100 nautical miles off the African coast.
