The Chairwoman of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee Gitte Lillelund Bech (Lib) is calling for the military to reconsider its rules in order to avoid a repeat performance of the past couple of weeks’ controversy surrounding the publication of a book by a former commando.
Copenhagen Municipal Court rejected yesterday an injunction brought by the military seeking to prevent publication of the book by People’s Press publishing house on security grounds. Although the court accepted military claims that the book had security implications, it said that the publication was already firmly in the public domain.
