There is a break-in every five minutes in Denmark and if the pace of robberies continues, 2009 will see more than 100,000 break-ins in Danish homes and companies – a record for the country, according to the Danish Fire and Security Institute.

According to Statistics Denmark the first six months of 2009 saw 50,016 reported break-ins – a 50 percent increase on 2006.
