DSB Rail monopoly extended

The Danish national railway service DSB is expected to be given a 6-year respite in its preparations for outside competition, with the government planning to extend its monopoly until 2020 to make sure Danish railway services are ready for competition.

”That is correct. The intention is to negotiate contracts with DSB in 2014,” Traffic Minister Lars Barfoed tells Børsen.
