The government is now prepared to introduce alcoholic locks in vehicles owned by drivers caught and sentenced for drunk driving.
The system, which is used in Sweden, has been warmly recommended by both the Traffic Security Commission and the Council for Increased Traffic Safety and is to be presented by Justice Minister Brian Mikkelsen (Cons) later today.
