Aarhus University regrets having given in to pressure in 2007 in changing a report on the state of Denmark’s forests, after having been approached by officials of the Forestry and Nature Agency. In the final report, threats to the environment were played down in relation to results from the university’s researchers.
“This was a clear mistake. We neither can nor will compromise the credibility and independence of our work. If we do that we risk raising issues with research at all universities,” Deputy Rector Søren Frandsen tells Jyllands-Posten.
