What increasingly resembles a maverick attempt at military disinformation is rapidly widening into a scandal that has given rise to some calls for Defence Minister Søren Gade to resign.
After reporting that those around him had not been involved in disseminating an Arabic translation of a book the military has termed a serious security risk to Danish soldiers, it has transpired that Gade’s media adviser sent the translation – which was produced by the military itself - to the national broadcaster Danmarks Radio.
