Denmark’s Health Minister Jakob Axel Nielsen (Cons) wants to raise the legal age at which young people can buy spirits from 16 to 18.

”I would rather have young people drinking some beer and filling their stomachs with that, than emptying a whole bottle of vodka,” Nielsen says about the bill, which is a central element in the prevention plan that the government will be presenting on Friday.
