Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen says that if the world’s countries can agree on a new global climate agreement at the Copenhagen UN Climate Summit in December, the agreement should be politically binding from January 1, 2010.

“We want a politically binding agreement that takes effect immediately. We cannot wait. The world is screaming for action now,” Lars Løkke Rasmussen tells Ritzau.
