The Socialist People’s Party is calling on Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen to begin discussing Denmark’s exit strategy for Afghanistan, following suggestions by President Obama yesterday that the United States is close to presenting its own exit strategy.
“There is debate on the issue in almost all of the other countries. That is an admission that we cannot win a military victory. That is a debate that we must also have here in Denmark,” says Socialist People’s Party Defence Spokesman Holger K. Nielsen.
