A ruling from the Consumer Complaints Commission has awarded a petitioner 500 kr. in compensation for not having been told by an outlet that a new television set only had a limited life-span.
Since the customer bought the television, up to 700,000 similar units – television sets that are only MPEG-2 compliant - have been sold and the television trade fears having to fork out DKK 350 million in compensation, according to Børsen.
